Don’t Be a Good German – Remember the Untermenschen!!
The Catholic Wise Guy raises his glass to all Americans who celebrate the overturning of Roe v. Wade! This Dred Scott of the 20th century has been tossed into the trashcan of history where it belongs. I drink to our Sacred Cause, our Divine Cause, of protecting the unborn children of God and the women who carry them.
But the celebrations are over and now we return to the hard work of protecting women and babies. One victory is in the bag but the war rages. The pro-aborts are furious. Their actions proclaim their inner darkness, and their words are full of sound and fury signifying nothing. But it’s a powerful nothing as they control Congress and the Presidency. And sit on piles of cash. The battlefront shifts to the states.
Each of us must ask the Lord what his role should be in this new phase of the battle for life. The Wise Guy says don’t be silent or passive or, worse yet, lend support to the pro-aborts.
Don’t be a Good German.
Yes, don’t be like the Good Germans who during the Nazi reign of death before and during WWII claimed not to have supported the Nazis but remained silent and did not resist. The Nazis slaughtered the untermenschen (underman, sub-human) by the millions, starting with the Jews, but also including the Slavs, gypsies, the disabled, the infirm, and others. The Nazis invented the gas chambers. because they did not have enough bullets to kill all the untermenschen. Perhaps they also wanted to protect the consciences of their soldiers which might blanch at the endless killing of civilians.
So, we pro-life Americans must be brave and rise to fight the pro-aborts, our American storm troopers. Don’t let your age or your job or your family or your gentle nature turn you into a Good German. Remember, the unborn are the untermenschen of our time.
Yes, the unborn are the untermenschen of our time.
The Wise Guy offers three paths for pro-life warriors: prayer, love, and justice. They share the goal of protecting women and babies but use different techniques to awaken the dormant consciences of the Woke.
The path of Prayer acknowledges that only God can deliver victory for the unborn. This is ultimately a spiritual battle, not a political fight. As St. Paul writes:
“For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens.” (Ephesians 6:12)
We must prayer daily for the unborn and their mothers. Persistence is critical. Consider Jesus’ Parable of the Persistent Widow (Luke 18:1-8) who is seeking justice from an unjust judge. (Note that unjust judges played a disruptive role in Jewish 1st century society as they do in ours, 2000 years later. Human nature doesn’t change. There will always be unjust judges, from the Supreme Court down.) The unjust judge remains deaf to the widow’s pleas but finally renders a just decision because she “keeps bothering me” and she might “come and strike me.” Jesus compares the unjust judge to God who, loving and merciful, will “secure the rights of his chosen ones who call out to him day and night. Will he be slow to answer them?”
So, we pray and pray. And pray some more.
Don’t be a Good German.
The path of Love strengthens the helping hands already extended to women via our pregnancy resource centers (they have many names). We must expand the depth and reach of our existing networks. Ensure help is available to women and babies before and after birth. Pro-lifers must continue to roll up their sleeves and open their checkbooks.
Don’t be a Good German.
The path of Justice winds through many political thickets and swamps but we cannot lose sight of our Sacred Cause. Experienced political hands are desperately needed here. To achieve our goal, we must actively work against those politicians who promote injustice for women and babies. As a Catholic, the Wise Guy is particularly focused on Catholic politicians who support abortion. We must gain information on “Catholic” politicians at all levels and fight those who advocate for abortion. It would be good for their souls to lose their political privileges, so this act of Justice could also be viewed as an act of Love. The time for dialogue has passed – let’s throw them out of office. Again, we follow the advice of the Lord and seek to “be shrewd as serpents and simple as doves (Mt 10:16).
The Wise Guy leaves it to the politically savvy to devise the best strategy here but suggests at some point we must address the most famous and destructive pro-abortion Catholic politicians. Success against powerful pro-abortion Catholics would be a shot across the bow to the less powerful. The Wise Guy has coined an acronym to describe these people: CHINO (Catholic in Name Only). Our CHINO in Chief is, of course, President Joe Biden. His deputy CHINO is Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House. These people require special treatment from our pro-life politicos.
The Wise Guy realizes there are many other powerful non-Catholic pro-aborts in Congress and our culture. But he holds them to a lower moral standard because they have not been taught the truth. We’ll focus on them later.
Biden and Pelosi and other pro-abort Catholic politicians have been taught the truth but persist in their evil. Let’s vote them out of office.
